About Emily French

Emily traveled, and worked in Switzerland during 2001 prior to commencing her Bachelor of Visual Arts (Graphic Design & Multimedia) at University of Ballarat, graduating in 2004. Awarded a Ballarat Arts Foundation grant in 2005, Emily fulfilled her ambition to return to Europe to visit the Museum fur Gestaltung Poster Collectionâ„¢ in Zurich, to record examples of outstanding poster design and cutting edge typography.

Drawing from this amazing experience, Emily was invited to design the Ballarat Eureka 151 Poster and Billboard, which resulted in an innovative, contemporary piece. She joined RU Advertising in August 2005 and works with a range of clients designing press advertisements, logos, corporate branding, posters and web layouts. With strong leadership skills, Emily was appointed to Production Supervisor in April 2008.

Emily is dedicated and hardworking with excellent design capabilities.  She ensures that all clients receive exceptional results. Specialising in the design and development of brochures and booklets, Emily has a particular strength in adhering to strict branding guidelines, always producing original, attractive and effective material.

In July 2008, Emily was invited to present on behalf of RU Advertising at University of Ballarat's ICT: Start Here Go Anywhere round table dinner. This focussed on showcasing opportunities for young people through Information, Communications & Technology to highlight ICT as a truly global career, where you meet people and work together to solve problems, offers solutions for climate change and is a growing industry.

Emily's success at this event followed with the opportunity to attend the Go Girl Go for I.T. careers showcase in October 2008 at Deakin University's Melbourne campus to raise awareness of the need for female participation in the exciting world of technology. Here she presented amongst other key note speakers from Google, KPMG, Apple and the Victorian Police Force, to name a few.

Emily was promoted to Production Manager in April 2009 and in addition to management and design, her role now also encompasses production scheduling, quality control and reporting.
